Since our inception in 1987, we of the New York Tri-State chapter, and other alumni associations, have donated financial and other types of support in the form of members volunteering their skills and time to our Alma Mater, Bishops' High School of Guyana.

Thanks to your continued support through our fund raising events, we have been able to consistently donate funds to many projects in the maintenance and improvement of our school. Our Biology lab being refurbished in 2007 was one such project.

Our donations also include:

• The annual prize giving; funds for furniture for one classroom;
• annual donations to the 'Headmistress' See-Fit fund;
• established scholarship for BHS students pursuing further education;
• shipped barrels of donated books to the school library; and
• restoration of the Biology lab.

...and in New York

• Provide Christmas gifts annually for children in high needs areas, and for children with AIDS;
• provide non perishable food for the food pantry at the Church of St. Mark to help people in the community that are in need.
